FileInvite alternative

The FileInvite Alternative
Priced for Small Firms.

DokuTrak is the FileInvite alternative for small professional firms that were priced out when FileInvite moved up-market. Same Magic-link model, $49/month flat, month-to-month. No five-figure annual contract.

Why teams switch from FileInvite

01

FileInvite abandoned the SMB segment

FileInvite now positions toward enterprise commercial lending with annual plans starting around $9,900. If you are a small law firm, accounting practice, or boutique brokerage, that price is not built for you anymore.

02

Same Magic Link model, 1/15th the price

DokuTrak and FileInvite agree on the core: no client login, upload via link. The difference is the pricing math. FileInvite starts around $825/month on an annual commitment. DokuTrak is $49/month, month-to-month, cancelable in one click.

03

Month-to-month billing

FileInvite plans typically require annual commitments. DokuTrak is month-to-month at $49/mo. $1 for the first 14 days to test on real client workflows before committing to a single month.

04

Flat pricing, no seat minimum

FileInvite enterprise plans come with seat counts and usage minimums. DokuTrak is flat regardless of team size, client count, or request volume. Your $49/month covers everything.

Verdict — when each tool wins

FileInvite is a mature, enterprise-grade document collection platform with deep integrations for commercial lending and strong compliance credentials. If you are an enterprise mortgage broker, a regional bank, or a commercial finance firm with six-figure software budgets and native Encompass/Calyx integration as a hard requirement, FileInvite is probably the right choice.

If you are a small firm — a 5-person brokerage, a boutique law office, a solo accountant — FileInvite is no longer pricing itself for you. A $9,900 annual contract is more than many SMB firms spend on their entire software stack. DokuTrak was built specifically for this segment: same collection workflow, same Magic Link client experience, fraction of the cost, no annual lock-in.

At $49/month flat month-to-month, DokuTrak costs less than a single FileInvite month and requires no procurement conversation.

Switch if…

  • You are a small firm priced out of FileInvite enterprise plans
  • You want month-to-month billing instead of annual commitment
  • You do not need native LOS integrations right now
  • You want flat pricing without seat or request minimums
  • You value speed of adoption over enterprise procurement

Stay with FileInvite if…

FileInvite vs DokuTrak FAQs

Why is DokuTrak so much cheaper than FileInvite?

Different target customer. FileInvite moved up-market to serve commercial lending and enterprise finance, where the budget supports their pricing. DokuTrak stays focused on small-to-mid professional service firms where $49/month is the right price for the result we deliver. Same Magic Link model, different segment, different pricing math.

Does DokuTrak integrate with Encompass / Calyx / other LOS?

Not natively yet. Today you download the completed intake from DokuTrak as a zip file and upload into your LOS. Native Encompass and Calyx integrations are on our 2026 roadmap. If your mortgage workflow absolutely requires native LOS integration today, stay with FileInvite.

How secure is DokuTrak compared to FileInvite?

AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, EU-hosted in Paris, full audit log, GDPR-compliant. SOC 2 Type II in progress. FileInvite has longer-standing enterprise compliance credentials (SOC 2 Type II, various regional certifications). If your compliance team requires completed certifications today, FileInvite has them; if compliance roadmap is acceptable, DokuTrak is fine.

Can I migrate from FileInvite to DokuTrak?

There is no direct import today. Most firms recreate their 3–5 most-used templates in DokuTrak (30 minutes of work), run parallel for a week, then shift new intake to DokuTrak while letting FileInvite finish in-flight requests. Total migration takes most firms 2 weeks.

Is DokuTrak stable enough for critical workflows?

Yes. DokuTrak runs on production-grade infrastructure (dedicated VPS, Cloudflare R2 storage, redundant backups). The product is young, which means fewer features than FileInvite, but the core collection workflow is solid. We publish incident reports transparently when anything affects customers.

What if I outgrow DokuTrak?

Great problem. You export your data as a zip, move to FileInvite or a custom enterprise solution, and continue. We designed the product to make that easy — no lock-in on data format, full export at any time, no annual contract to unwind.
